Be seen in green for the RSPCA!
RSPCA AWARENESS BANDS
|
In 2005, for the very first time, the RSPCA will be selling bright green wrist bands throughout Australia to raise awareness and valuable funds for the animal welfare organisation.
Reflecting the colour of the paws in the much-loved RSPCA logo, these wrist bands will carry the simple but important message that is behind much of the RSPCA’s work:
“Stop animal cruelty”.
Awareness bands like these have taken the world by storm, providing supporters with the opportunity to contribute to an important cause, and to show their support with a fashionable accessory that has a serious purpose.
The RSPCA in Australia accepts more than 135,000 animals from the community every year.
Our mission to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection means we assist farm animals and exotic creatures as well as native wildlife and domestic pets.
Sadly, each year we investigate around 48,000 complaints of animal cruelty and neglect.
That’s 131 cases every day.
Or five every hour.
Whichever way you look at it, it’s a big job, and an important one. Quite simply, we need your help to do it well.
Please, purchase an RSPCA awareness band for just $2 and wear it with pride.
Because not only will you look good, but you’ll know you’re helping this charity to ensure that Australia’s animals are treated with consideration and compassion.
On their behalf, and on behalf of the many thousands of staff and volunteers who work with the RSPCA across Australia, we thank you for your support.
