Tell us your stories
|
Whether working to educate the community about important animal
welfare issues, or dealing with the media, we’re always looking
for real-life stories to illustrate the subjects we’re talking
about. Such stories are vital to helping us raise awareness
and make a difference.
If you have experienced the joy and sadness that are inevitable
in sharing our lives with all kinds of animals, or if you know
someone who has, we’d love to help you share your story with the
world.
Below are just a few ideas, but if you have a story to tell,
please drop us a line on news@rspca.org.au. We’ll contact
you back to talk about your story and you can remain anonymous if
you like.
Have you found the love of your life through the RSPCA?
If you found your new pet at the RSPCA, and especially if you
located your new family member using
www.adoptapet.com.au, we want to hear all about your happy
ending!
The pulling power of pets
Recent polls indicate more than half of Australia’s pet owners
have met a new friend or partner through their pets. If
you’ve found love or expanded your social circle with the help of
your four legged companions, please tell us your story.
Our amazing animals
We are frequently amazed and delighted by the funny, clever and
brave things animals do every day and of the lengths animal lovers
will go to, to protect their charges. If you’ve been
fortunate enough to witness the clever or heroic actions of an
animal, or you know of a person who has risked their own welfare
to save an animal, we’d love to share your experiences. You may
even be lucky enough to have your story published in one of the
SMARTER than JACK books. If your story is selected you will be
contacted first for permission.
Fair Go for Farm Animals
Have you had first-hand experience of the difficulties faced by
many of our farmed animals? If you’ve seen or worked with
battery farmed hens, intensively farmed pigs, live exports or
other farm animals industries, and are willing to speak out on
their behalf, please contact us for help.
The cruelty connection
Research has identified strong links between cruelty to animals
and other forms of violence including domestic violence, violent
crime and child abuse. If you or someone you know has
experienced this and can speak out to help us educate and assist
others, we’d love to hear from you.
A picture is worth a thousand words
Attention budding photographers! If you just love animals
and have managed to capture their special qualities in an image,
we’d love to get a copy. We’re always on the lookout for
great photographs of all kinds of animals in various situations,
that we can use in our campaigns and other communications
materials. If you have a great photo that you’d like to
share, send us the details and we will make sure you are
acknowledged wherever we use your picture.
The RSPCA and you
Have you been able to manage your pets medical and health needs
better, thanks to RSPCA Pet Insurance?
Do you just love using your Bendigo RSPCA Rescue VISA card?
Have you given an RSPCA gift card to someone you care about?
Perhaps you’ve bought other great gifts (for yourself or someone
else!) through our online shop.
Have you and your pet become healthier and lost weight through
exercising together?
We’d love to hear your feedback!
